Dear Guo,

Having too many spheres probably means that your receptor just has a large
surface area. I'm fairly new to biochemistry so maybe one of the more
knowledgeable members of this list could give you a better description. I ran
into the same problem while running a problem before. To fix your problem,
download the Sphgen_cpp from the Contributed Code section of the Dock website:

http://dock.compbio.ucsf.edu/Contributed_Code/index.htm

This is an improved version of Sphgen which can handle more than 99999 spheres.

    Dear Dock Fans:

I'm also a new student in dock.I tried dock with my receptor which has 385
residues. In first steps,it had no problem, but when running sphgen, there was an
error. It generated more than 99999 spheres, but I don't know why it has so
much.Is the receptor with 385 residues too big?
    Any answer is appreciated!
