Dear Anantha
Please contact your system administrator and ask them to install the GNU C compilers.
If you cannot get an installation CD, see https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Repositories/Ubuntu for instructions for adding the Ubuntu repositories so that the necessary files can be downloaded from the internet.
You can use the command 'sudo apt-get install build-essential' to install the required compilers.
