Hi, I'm a newbie bioinformatician that came across an obstacle. I've
successfully installed DOCK 6.2 on my Linux 64-bit. Now I'm trying to
install chimera. I've successfully downloaded the installer (for Linux
64-bit) from the UCSF download page. When I tried to run it on the window
terminal, I got something like this:
peregrin:/home/afiq# ./chimera-1.3.25577-linux_x86_64.exe
bash: ./chimera-1.3.2577-linux_x86_64.exe: Permission denied
My supervisor (he's from computer sciences) said that the .exe extension is
wrong, since it was meant for Windows. I tried the installer for Linux
32-bit just to make sure, and the result was the same:
peregrin:/home/afiq# ./chimera-1.3.2577-linux.exe
bash: ./chimera-1.3.2577-linux.exe: Permission denied
Can anybody please help me? Thanks.
